What is the age limit for the military draft 2023?
Unless changed by Congress, the Federal law requires that men between the ages 18 through 25 register with the Selective Service System at sss.gov.
The Selective Service System, otherwise known as the military draft or conscription, requires almost all male U.S. citizens and immigrants, ages 18 through 25, to register with the government.

After December 20, 1941 amendments to the Selective Training and Service Act made all men between the ages of 20 and 44 liable for military service and required all men between the ages of 18 and 64 to register for the draft.
Remember, you can't register after age 26, but the obligation to serve if drafted extends up to age 35.

The Draft and WWII
On September 16, 1940, the United States instituted the Selective Training and Service Act of 1940, which required all men between the ages of 21 and 45 to register for the draft. This was the first peacetime draft in United States' history.
While felons are not exempt from the draft, they require a waiver to serve, and the type and severity of their felony offense play a significant role in determining their acceptance. Offenses such as murder, sexual offenses, and violent felonies pose significant obstacles to gaining approval for military service.
